What this covers
This policy explains how Roof Repair Melbourne VIC deals with personal information collected through roofrepairmelbournevic.com.au, by phone, and through the enquiry form on this site. We aim to handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
When you make an enquiry we may collect your name, phone number, email address, suburb or property address, and whatever you tell us about the roof, including any photos you send. Like most websites, the site may also record basic technical data such as browser type, pages viewed and approximate location, through server logs or analytics tools.
Why we collect it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry and to arrange for an independent local roofing contractor to contact you, inspect the roof and give you a quote. We may also use them to follow up on that enquiry, to keep records of it, and to improve the website.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry details are passed to the contractor we arrange to quote, so they can get in touch and visit. The enquiry form is provided through a third-party form and messaging platform, which stores submitted details on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Keeping it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information, such as banking details, through the form.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. Call 03 4320 5697 during business hours and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is the current one.
