What we are
Roof Repair Melbourne VIC is a referral service. We take enquiries from Melbourne home and building owners about roof repairs, re-roofing and related work, and we arrange for an independent local roofing contractor to inspect the roof and provide a free written quote. We are not a roofing company and we do not employ roofers. Any contract for work is between you and the contractor who quotes.
What we ask of the contractors
We ask the contractors we work with to:
- Inspect the roof, and the roof space where it is safe, before pricing.
- Show you photos of what they found and explain them in plain terms.
- Offer a repair option where a repair is reasonable, not only a replacement.
- Put the scope in writing, including what is excluded.
- Hold the registrations, licences and insurance the job needs, and show them to you when asked.
You should still check those things yourself. The regulator's public register, ABN Lookup and a copy of the insurance certificate take a few minutes and are worth it.
What this website is for
Most of this site is information. The guides explain Melbourne roofs, Victorian rules on permits, roof plumbing and asbestos, and how to compare quotes, so that you can make a decision with confidence whoever you end up hiring. Prices appear in one place, the 2026 price guide, with the reasons they vary.
Where we arrange quotes
Across Greater Melbourne: the inner suburbs including Richmond, the eastern suburbs including Box Hill, the south-east including Dandenong, Berwick and Pakenham, the Mornington Peninsula, and the west including Werribee.
